Comments and Feedback:
The feed back we got from our trailer presentation was that we needed to lower our film rating to the same age rating of the trailer which we agreed was 15 certificated. We were told that out film could not be an 18 rated film because it would not have enough graphic content and would not have any pornographic content either. Therefore we have now chosen a 15 rated film and trailer, which we will target a 15+ audience of both male and females.
We were also given feedback on our props list, telling us that we needed to be careful bringing in a pretend gun that looks very similar to a real gun. As a group we have discussed how we could over come this and still use the main prop (a gun). When using the gun in each different setting we will have to speak to a member of staff who is in charge of that department and let them know that we are filming for our media project and that the props we are using are fake and are for filming purposes only. We have also decided that when we are not using the gun during filming time we will leave the gun in a safe place in one of our media teachers cupboards. This will avoid the gun being a threat to the school and causing any panic that is not needed.
Another piece of feedback that we got was for our camera work and one particular setting that we want to use during out trailer. We have been told that if we were to film all of the KS3 students in Ritchie Hall during break time, we would have to ask every single student for their permission to be filmed. This would be time consuming and we as a group could be faced with students who for safe guarding reasons can not be filmed. Therefore to over come this we asked a KS4 PA group teacher if we could use them as our extra actors in our film. This has been agreed and everyone who will be filmed is happy to be a part of our trailer.
