Evaluation - What Have You Learnt From Your Audience Feedback?

What Have You Learnt From Your Audience Feedback?

Trailer feedback:

Facebook Feedback
In order to get a wide range of feedback we used several different media platforms to distribute our film trailer so that we can receive feedback on both positive and negative things about our film trailer.  We decided a good media platform to upload our trailer onto was Facebook.

We received a few comments on the Facebook post, both were positive. One going into more detail about the actual content in the trailer, saying how they like the edited sound of the gun shot and how the trailer builds suspense.

We also received some positive 'reactions' to the trailer on Facebook, 3 people loved the trailer and 2 people liked it. Overall we were happy with the response to the trailer, however we would have preferred a few more comments and some negative comments as well as positive.

Class Feedback (teachers and other media students)
Because of the lack of negative feedback we received on Facebook we decided to show our film trailer to our media teachers, who gave us very constructive criticism.  One of our teachers said that we needed to improve the past of the trailer, even though we got the idea of a slow past trailer from the researched film trailer 'Elephant' we were advised to speed up the guns scenes. W were also told to film more clips, so that our trailer broke up more with different settings as from the draft we showed the scenes all looked very similar.
We were told that it was unique that we made our own music for the trailer and that we had used a recent media news report of a school shooting. We given praise for using the current media in our film trailer as it will be relatable to everyone in the world who acknowledges the news headlines.
